It had been a perfect autumn morning. Our young son had exhausted all his youthful energy at the local Pumpkin Patch, petting the horses, solving the haystack maze and playing hide-n-seek in the endless field of pumpkins. This picture was taken as the day wound down while on the hayride back to the car. As we huddled together, the battle to stay awake was evident in his eyes. Although completely drained, he still managed one last look to see if there was anything he’d missed. Needless to say, we hadn’t made it down the driveway when the battle was over. |
